Rubber coating of metal precisely tailored to the application
Production of rubber-to-metal parts – Rubber-to-metal
We apply rubber coating to steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel and galvanized materials. In the case of galvanized parts, the zinc layer must be removed in the area to be coated. For a strong bond between rubber and metal, we prepare the surface (sandblasting, degreasing) and apply an adhesion primer – the rubber is then perfectly vulcanized to the metal component. Typical products include wheels, rollers, running wheels, conveyor rollers and parts with vulcanized reinforcement.

Materials and typical applications
- EPDM – outdoor environment / ozone; not suitable for oils and fuels.
- NBR – suitable for oils and greases, resistant to fuel as well (seals, glands, grommets in oily environments).
- SBR/NR – very good abrasion resistance (stops, blocks), not suitable for oils, fuels and UV.
- CR (neoprene) – universal compromise: outdoor use + oils + temperature.
- Silicone – −70 to short-term +250 °C, food-safe (food industry, temperature cycles).
Not sure? We will recommend the right compound based on the medium and temperature.

Molds (compression tools)
Don’t have a mold? We will design the construction and provide a quote – the mold is always your property. We manufacture simpler shapes in-house; more complex tools are produced by our trusted partners.
Press limits: 160×160, 400×400, 600×600 and 800×800 mm. We produce simple linear profiles. We do not manufacture extruded profiles.

Components and accessories
As part of our standard production program, we offer:
- Bolts with rubber-coated heads Ø 44 mm, Ø 58 mm and Ø 70 mm (various thread sizes can be combined)
- Nuts with heads Ø 44 mm, Ø 58 mm and Ø 70 mm
- Pallet truck wheels
How we proceed
- Specification (drawing, environment, quantity)
- Material and hardness proposal (we recommend the compound based on medium and temperature)
- Price quote and production approval
- Mold (design, drawings and manufacturing)
- Sample (verification of dimensions, hardness and appearance)
100% visual inspection plus measurement of dimensions and hardness. Flash is removed manually or mechanically; for small and visually critical parts we use cryogenic “deflashing” to remove burrs – ideal for automotive and design-demanding applications. Material certificates available on request.
FAQ
1I don’t have a drawing – what now?
For a start, it is sufficient to send us a photo or a hand sketch with the part dimensions. If anything is unclear, it is then better to send us a sample of the original part.
2What are the minimum order quantities?
Production is possible from a single piece. In such a case, the cost of the mold significantly exceeds the price of the part itself. Economically efficient production starts from tens of pieces and with a certain regularity of orders.
3How quickly can you deliver a sample and production series?
The production time depends on the complexity of the product and the number of cavities. Very simple molds are usually manufactured within one working week in our tool shop. More complex designs take approximately 4–6 working weeks. Samples from a new mold are typically ready within one week. All delivery times are included in the price quote.
4What file formats do you accept?
We accept drawings in DWG, DXF, STP, ISG and PDF formats. You can also send photographs of the product with dimensions and any additional information.
5Can you provide certificates / compliance documentation?
Upon request, we can provide a material test report. Any requirements for certificates must be specified already in the initial inquiry. The same applies to other requirements regarding material compliance or meeting international standards such as REACH, RoHS, etc. – these must be stated in advance.
6What are the dimensional limits?
We operate presses with dimensions from 160×160 mm up to 800×800 mm. We manufacture parts from as small as 3 mm up to, for example, wheels with a diameter of 600 mm.
Price quote
To prepare a price quote, it is first necessary to agree on the appearance of the product and its intended use (UV resistance, contact with oils or fuel, mechanical load, etc.). We accept drawings in DWG, DXF, STP, IGS and PDF formats, but for simple shapes a hand sketch with the part dimensions is sufficient.
We will then propose a suitable material if it is not specified directly by the customer. We are able to provide the material types listed below with various mechanical properties, different hardness levels and, if required, also in color. We primarily process rubber produced in the Czech Republic.
